I have recently used Spring WS in a production implementation and have been impressed. The Spring team has done another fabulous job of balancing simplicity with power. That is, you can keep it simple using the framework but also get as close to the wire as you need/wish. The various options in which to implement an endpoint give you very good options based on what you want to achieve. The interceptor concept is excellent and I have implemented two generic interceptors. The first times all my web service requests and logs each request to a log file. The second parses the SOAP Header for a service correlation id based on the WS-Addressing specs.

Anyway, if you haven't tried the library yet, there's a small learning curve but overall I would heavily recommend it.
